Stage 1

• This involves checking chemical composition of scrap before melting

Stage 2

• This involves checking of chemical composition, hardness (as cast) and visual inspection

Stage 3

• This covers verification of chemical composition for all pouring heats, dimensional inspection,
• NDT (radiography / ultrasonic), mechanical properties, micro structure, weight tolerance etc.
